Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Jake Mail Assistant handles Google user data for its authenticated account owner.
1. Application scope
Jake Mail Assistant is a private, owner-operated email and calendar assistant. It is not a public multi-user service. Only accounts explicitly authorized by the application owner may use it.
2. Data accessed
Depending on the permissions granted by the account owner, the application may access Gmail messages, threads, labels, drafts, message metadata, and attachments, as well as Google Calendar calendars and events.
3. How data is used
Google user data is used only to fulfill owner-requested functions, such as retrieving and summarizing email, organizing messages, applying labels, archiving messages, preparing drafts, sending mail when explicitly authorized, and reading or managing calendar events.
When the owner requests an AI-assisted function, the minimum content needed for that request may be transmitted to the AI model provider configured by the owner. This processing is limited to producing the requested result for that owner. Google user data is not used to train or improve a general-purpose model for other users.
4. Storage and security
OAuth credentials are stored in access-controlled systems operated by the application owner. Google user data may be processed transiently and retained only when necessary to complete a requested task, preserve an owner-approved record, or maintain security and operational reliability. The public website does not contain Google user data and uses no advertising or analytics trackers.
5. Sharing and sale
Google user data is not sold, rented, used for advertising, or shared with data brokers. It is not disclosed to third parties except when required by law or when necessary for an infrastructure provider to process data solely on the owner's behalf under applicable safeguards.
6. Google API Limited Use
Jake Mail Assistant's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
7. Retention and deletion
The account owner may revoke the application's access at any time through the Google Account permissions page. The owner may also request deletion of locally retained application data by contacting the address below.
8. Contact
Questions or deletion requests may be sent to jkph99@gmail.com.
